Liv.e (pronounced without the "e") is Olivia Williams, an artist who works more like a sonic architect in the way she creates her music by combining snippets, loops, and beat tracks into (alternative) R&B centric jagged pieces that do not always follow standard song structures. She seems to have a deep well of ideas and the appetite of an omnivore as she regularly draws from hip-hop, jazz, electronic, and club music. Grooves and beat construction are central elements of her music. She incorporates trippy club grooves, trap beats, drum 'n bass, rigid electronic arpeggios, and synthwave esthetics into her work. Her adventurous streak was always there, but has been taking it to a whole a different level starting with her 2020 album Couldn't Wait To Tell You..., and has been pushing the envelope farther out since then.
