Thee Sacred Souls are a San Diego based trio that goes full in on classic soul and captures the spirit and the romance of the genre. Their music adopts the '70s approach end to end, from the style of the melodies to the way the instruments and the backing vocals arranged, down to the overall warmth of the sound. There is even some fade out on some of the songs. Vocalist Josh Lane is a gem of a singer who is a perfect match for this style of music with his velvety voice, in the way he can pack pure emotion into his delivery, and his use of the falsetto. The musical backbone of the band, on the other hand, is the bass/drum duo Sal Samano and Alex Garcia, who lay down the grooves with the proper amount of sway.
