Songs
Legss
Outline
It would not be too much of an exaggeration to say that the music of Legss is built on a sense of unease that takes different forms, delivered though idioms of post-punk for the most part. The tension and release cycles in their songs allow fluctuations between big feverish bursts and quiet passages that border on serenity without ever reaching it. Vocalist Ned Green makes use of a range of delivery modes, speak-singing quite a bit, but also turning to an under-his-breath singing style peppered with some good old-fashioned screaming. There is an artsy drive in their arrangements and a dramatic flair to their sound that adds a deliberate feel to the band's work. The interaction between the guitars as a stand-out, as well as some nifty moves on the drums.
