KNOWER is the partnership between multi-instrumentalists Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, whose jazz-centric music is often built around a combination of funk, fusion, and electronic music, though they have also been exploring a more organic sound with choral and string effects as well. The duo is often surrounded by a highly talented roster of LA area musicians who contribute both in live settings and in the studio, with folks like Sam Wilkes and Sam Gendel making regular appearances. Their music is frequently playful and humorous, and it is melodically memorable with just enough pop to get the juices flowing. It is also precise, dynamic, and dance friendly. Atradi has a young voice that can get misty and dreamy at times, giving off Stereolab type vibes.
