Sungazer

At the core of Sungazer's music is the bass/drums partnership between Adam Neely and Shawn Crowder. Both musicians are highly skilled on their instruments, and use that as an advantage in creating intricate rhythmic and tonal shifts as they explore a particular space where fusion mixes with electronic music and progressive rock. Though essentially a jazz-centric band, their ability to bring a broader set of idioms to their music means there are multiple threads and flavors in their work that are dynamically interacting to form a style that does not stick to any specific label. That said, the duo also seems to generally prefer a bright and playful tone that leads to a relatively light sound with plenty of hooks.
