Afternoon Bike Ride

Afternoon Bike Ride is a project that started out as a collaboration between three folk musicians, Lia Kurihara, David Tanton, and Éloi Le Blanc-Ringuette, supporting each other in their respective solo careers before the partnership evolved into a band that plays together and shares the songwriting. There is a stylistic consistency to the work they put out as a trio that leans towards the softer and relatively spacious form of folk, delivered in a calm and quiet fashion with vocals handled primarily by Kurihara. Their music tends to have an airy feel of gentle reflection that gives off a sense of open spaces and a pastoral scenery. Their arrangements are usually stripped down, which adds subtle bedroom pop vibes to their songs.
