Kelly Lee Owens

Kelly Lee Owens is an electronic artist whose music often resides somewhere in the ambient and techno range, often with strong melodies and overt pop accents. She generally does not sit still in one stylistic idiom and likes to move around, shifting flavors and texture along the way. Her 2022 album, LP.8, particularly stands out in that regard due to her experimental approach that mixes elements of industrial sound and noise with a floating, ethereal feel in a way that is often described as a cross between Throbbing Gristle and Enya. She moved in the direction of house style soon after on Dreamstate (2025). Some of her pieces tend to have a ballad-like quality that plays well with her serene voice and cool delivery.
