Jane Weaver
Outline
Jane Weaver is a singer-songwriter with a career going back to the '90s that took her through a terrain of folk, electronic, psychedelic, and pop. She started her solo work in psychedelic folk in the mid '00s, then expanded into electronic music that brought her into the world of folktronica as well as psychedelic electronica. She moved along those lines in the '10s, delving into a fair amount motorik beat and the krautrock sound in the meantime. From there, she continued to diversify her palette, regularly playing around with cool pop ideas that are at last partially evocative of Broadcast, as well as an occasional touch of T. Rex style glam and/or the kind of high-end pop/rock hybrid that artists like St. Vincent also explore. All these turns in her career has led to a rich and diverse catalog that rewards digging into.

She was a member of the Britpop band Kill Laura in the mid '90s and electronic folk band Misty DIxon in the early '00s before she took off on a solo career.
