Outline
Little Wings is, for all practical purposes, the moniker used by singer-songwriter Kyle Field, though it is also used to refer to a loose collection of musicians he works with, a few of them semi-constant across various line-ups. He generally plays in the indie folk style but sometimes reaches over into the softer edges of country. His songs are often wistful and tender, with basic arrangements and a quirky, slightly wobbly sound that is quite distinctive. Listening to his music may evoke an old school "gathered around a campfire, trading stories" feel. He is a remarkable and imaginative songwriter, also a fairly prolific one. He has been putting out music since 1999, releasing albums under different labels, or self released on digital platforms, which means some of his work may not be available on all platforms.
