Hope Tala (or Hope Natasha McDonald) is a singer-songwriter who keeps it mellow and gentle with a highly accessible pop core. The center of gravity of her music is mostly on the R&B lane, regularly drifting into neo soul. There is also a continuous pull in the bossa nova direction in her work that may not always be as overt or emphatic, but it does make its presence felt a lot.
