Grumpy

Grumpy is a band that plays a folk-driven pop that turns on a sweetly melodic flow and a generally off-kilter esthetic that somehow manages to sound both jagged and polished at the same time. They are led by singer-songwriter Heaven Schmitt, who has a knack for keeping the listener's attention through their vibrant delivery style, which is a major part of the band's charisma. Their initial work released in 2020 was the EP Loser, which moved along a more conventional indie pop path, before they switched up to more playful songs on their follow-up, Wolfed. There are hints in the latter release that their music is still in the process of evolving.
