Thou

Thou is a veteran band well-known for their work in the sludge metal world, with a reputation for their hardcore influenced hard-hitting sound, DIY ethics, and politically charged music. They are based in Baton Rouge with Louisiana swamps in the background, and all that humid heat and swampiness find their way into their music. They also slide into doom metal, and occasionally into stoner metal territory, registering high on the noise index and producing fairly heavy pieces along the way. Vocalist Bryan Funk's guttural style also adds to the sense of dread that the band evokes in the listener.
