Body Void

Body Void plays a dreary, slow, and sludgy form of doom metal with absolutely no bright spot anywhere in sight, drifting into the abyss with steely determination. They are a trio at the moment, but the core of the band has been the pair of Eddie Holgerson on drums and Willow Ryan on everything else, including his guttural vocal delivery. They are very loud and very intense, with each song taking around 7 to 8 minutes (somewhat shorter run time recently), loaded with a grimy, gritty, gloomy, gut-wrenching noise that weighs heavy on the listener. There is an undeniable sense of anxiety that runs through every nook and cranny of this music, which is a gift for folks who crave that sensation. The band also has a definite political stance on the state of the world that fits hand in glove with the emotional resonance of their sound.
