Francis of Delirium

Francis of Delirium is the Luxembourg based guitarist singer Jana Bahrich, originally a Canadian from Vancouver, whose earlier work was set up as a collaboration with drummer Chris Hewett, originally an American from Seattle. The pair connected though their shared love for the '90s grunge sound and released a set of EPs as a duo. The impact of the Pacific Northwest alt-rock scene on their music was quite palpable, particularly in their song dynamics, throughout their initial EP releases. That said, there is also a strong, melodically driven contemporary pop heart beating inside the tough rock exterior of the music, propelled a great deal by Bahrich's ample songwriting chops, which comes to the front much starker on her debut album, 2024's Lighthouse.
