Font

The music of Font has a strong percussive nature, with throbbing, melodic bass lines that introduce a dancey component into their otherwise nervous post-punk style. They are an Austin based band fronted by vocalist Thom Wadill, whose jittery delivery matches the levels of overall angst their music captures. The wall of drumming set up between drummer Jack Owens and percussionist Logan Wagner creates a stomping effect that gives them a firm base to work with. That said, their sound is not locked exclusively into post-punk, given that there are passages in some of their songs that suggest some alt-rock and noise rock affinities as well.
