Dutch Interior

Dutch Interior is the kind of band that we used to have a lot of in the old days, having multiple songwriters take turns with their contributions, each in their distinct style. The band is made up of musicians who have known each other and played together for a long time as they were growing up. This helps explain the cohesive overall sound they achieve as they shift between sub-genres, so to speak, taking a stroll through indie folk, freak folk, alt-country, and alt-rock, especially in their early recordings. They maintained their signature gentle take, shaped by their soft vocals and an introspective, contemplative tone after the massive step they took forward as a band on their 2025 album Moneyball, where they moved toward a more unified style with shared songwriting credit.
