Echoplex is a live music venue in the Echo Park area in Los Angeles. It showcases mostly indie and alternative acts, as does its sister venue, The Echo. Both used to be owned by Spaceland, but they were sold to Live Nation in '19. Echoplex is the larger venue between the two. It is literally located in the same building at the lower levels, but because Glendale Blvd intersects Sunset Blvd in an odd way (Sunset bridges over Glendale) it is not possible to just turn a corner to get to the other one. There are also no direct paths or staircases in between. To go from one to the other, one needs to take the long way around Park Ave or some other parallel streets.
