Dream Nails

Dream Nails are a London-based punk band with some indie leanings that make for an energetic sound that accompanies their feminist and queer politics oriented lyrics. They approach their material with good humor and a light-hand, which works well with the sense of joy and rowdy fun they project through their music. It also helps that the band stays mostly on the basics-of-rock'n roll lane in its punk (as opposed to going in the raging-ball-of-fury direction). There are even moments of uptempo funk and playful bits in their songs, not to mention a lovely romantic ballad they put out there for good measure (see "Time Ain't No Healer"). They have gone through various line-up changes since they first started, the latest being the departure of vocalist Ismael Kirby after their 2023 album, Doom Loop.
