Cosmic Sans

Cosmic Sans is a band that started out more or less in the alt-rock lane, originally with some heartland rock feel, before they began to shift towards a melodically stronger and less anxiety-driven sound in a couple of albums. Then on their deliciously titled 2023 release, Psychedelicatessen, they began to pull on the psychedelic thread that was always seemed to be present in their music, adopting an early prog meets early glam type of classic style with a bit of a Radiohead feel sprinkled in there. They tend to place their emphasis less on maintaining a hazy headspace than a clear execution of their grooves that manage to come across as both modern and retro at the same time. Their songs continue to be melodically rich and their overall feel, effortless and organic.
