Frankie and The Witch Fingers is a psychedelic rock band with strong garage rock style that captures the late '60s and early '70s feel. The band follows the classic sound of that period in terms of both their bluesy grooves and the grandeur of their sound. They play everything big and old-school: the riffs, the guitar leads (perhaps a bit more mid '70s on that front), the fat bass lines with the vintage rock bounce and the monster drums. More importantly, however, they play with a level of musicianship that makes all that work beautifully with the right kind of energy. This allows them to explore the contours of their tunes and get in the jamming mode. The garage element was more prominent earlier in their career, though the swirly, hazy psychedelic undertone was always there.
