Cloud Nothings

Cloud Nothings is a rock band from Cleveland, Ohio that pretty much rocks out with strong '90s alt-rock vibes and full conviction, directly mainlining the grunge sound more often than not. It is led by guitarist and vocalist Dylan Baldi, who has been a fairly productive artist between Cloud Nothings and his pandemic era solo releases. His songs tend to work at two different levels: as muscular rock pieces that pack plenty of energy and angst, and as tuneful pieces that bury lovely, pop-worthy hooks and melodies underneath that gruff surface. There is some Built to Spill vibes in a lot of their songs except their noise factor is cranked up more.  He sings in a raspy voice that seems to be going on overdrive all the time. The band plays tight end to end do a great job at maintaining their intensity.
