Music at the Intersection 2026
Outline
Music at the Intersection (MATI) is a relatively new music festival having begun in 2021. Located in St Louis' Grand Center Arts District, it focuses on the region's historical strong suits of Jazz and Blues with a generous dose of their offshoots of R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop and Rock. The acts tend to be either from the St Louis area or from the Mississippi valley/delta region more generally, but it does also include national and even international acts. It includes both indoor and outdoor venues, all located within walking distance. Prior to 2025 the festival had taken place over 2 days, but has now been extended to 3. It is quite a bargain with day tickets starting at around $50 and weekend passes starting at just around $100.
While MATI has previously taken place in September, for 2026 it has moved to mid-July. That being the case, stages will be indoors or shaded, so the number of available tickets has been reduced to ensure all pass holders can attend indoor shows.
The festival is an all ages event. Children 12 and under are free on Friday and Saturday. The festival takes place rain or shine. Thursday kickoff show ticketed separately.
