Witch Fever

Witch Fever plays a loud and aggressive form of rock built on a metal foundation, with occasional goth elements in the mix. Heavy metal motifs run through their music, as Alisha Yarwood blasts her powerful guitar lines and big riffs. The result is a dark sound whose dial is turned towards doom at times, and a punk type attack coming through the cracks, especially in the form of vocalist Amy Walpole's passion and anger. The three instrumentalists further amplify that sense of danger and add more weight to the band's visceral punch. Religious imagery is central to a lot of their songs in a way that feels like some personal demons are being exorcised in the process. Their initial EP, Reincarnate (2021) was relatively more committed to the metal sound.
