Warmduscher

Warmduscher (German slang for "wimp") is a band that was created at the spur of the moment by members of Fat White Family, Paranoid London, and a couple of others, which is reflected perfectly in the band's rambunctious sound. The band combines scrappy, garage inclined rough rock elements with strong funky grooves, and vocals that are part speak-sing part monologue as delivered by their frontman, vocalist Clams Baker Jr (who grew up in Massachusetts, hence his accent). Between their krautrock and disco excursions, they create what is essentially all-night party music that plays through a dense haze of what sounds like all forms of chemically induced mental states. The lyrics can get somewhat sleazy in a fully self-conscious street-talk kind of way. Musically, the entire band executes as an airtight unit despite all their apparent looseness.
