Upchuck

Atlanta punks Upchuck play it fast and loud with fuzzed up guitars, punchy drums, and shouty vocals, which is to say, they deliver all the goods they promise. They are generally on the foundational punk side, with overt hardcore tendencies, both stylistically and emotionally, and with some garage influences. Vocalist Kaila Thompson packs plenty of anger and aggressive attitude in her delivery while drummer Chris Salado steps up to the mic occasionally to deliver his anger in Spanish as a nice counterpoint of sorts. The band is fierce and fully committed to the act, though they are not averse to sprinkling an alt-rock touch on some of their songs when the mood strikes.
