Teethe

Teethe is a band started as a side project for four former University of North Texas students, each with their own band or solo pursuit, who have been connecting and reconnecting in different combinations over the years. There is a common stylistic tone that emerges in these projects that continues through Teethe as well. They are essentially a slowcore band with a lot of home recording type textures, keeping the tempo down in most cases. That said, they also have some mid-tempo songs that reach into the indie rock space. At the end of the day, though, the gravitational pull of melancholy tends to be strong for the band, and a sense of mourning and loss finds its way to the center stage and usually stays there.
