Sydney Sprague

Sydney Sprague is a singer-songwriter who plays a mixture of late '90s pop-oriented indie rock and '00s style indie pop. Her music feels loose and laid back, with an open flow, and true to its alt-rock spirit, she also likes to crank up the guitar and bring things up a notch. She moved closer to the rock side of the ledger in her 2023 album somebody in hell loves you, adopting a somewhat bigger sound. She provides plenty of hooks whether she is being lyrical and keeping it relatively soft, or turning up the heat with her guitar bursts. Her melodies are sharp and clear, and the uptempo feel she creates helps soften the layers of anxiety that lie at the emotional base of her songs.
