Sierra Hull

Sierra Hull is a singer-songwriter and a mandolin virtuoso who was able to transition from child prodigy to a full-rounded artist as she developed her own distinct voice and her bluegrass beginnings mutated into newgrass. She plays at the intersection of folk, Americana, and pop. Her songs are gentle and melodic, and they balance her acute pop sensibilities against her traditional folk instincts. She leads with her mandolin typically, and sings in a sweet and clear voice that also feels grounded and projects a sense of warmth and confidence. She has earned a lot of respect in the folk/bluegrass scene, and has been working with some top level talent on her albums, including Billy Strings, Allison Krauss, Bela Fleck, and Rhiannon Giddens.
