Salarymen

Salarymen is the bass/guitar duo Renee de la Motte and Thomas Eagleton, respectively, who play a cocktail of upbeat indie rock and power pop, with the undeniable charm of surf rock added on top. Their songs are melodic and loaded with a sense of sunshine and lightness. They may feel like a throwback to the classic '60s sound with all the shimmer in the guitar, the reverb, the steady thump of the bass, and the hazy vocals, and they indeed capture the mellow and carefree vibes of the period along with its vintage vocal harmonies. Both de la Motte and Eagleton take the lead on different songs, or trade lines.
