RÜFÜS DU SOL

Rüfüs du Sol (typically in all caps) is a Sydney based trio that produces dance-oriented electronic music. Their songs generally project a sense of calm despite their seriously uptempo and upbeat sound.  The melodies are tied mostly to the vocalist Tyrone Lindqvist, whose soft and gentle voice also sets the mood for the overall brooding tone of their songs. The keyboards and the guitar build the atmospheric backdrop and the accents, also helping frame the vocal melody. The drums, on the other hand anchor the whole thing on a strong dance beat that keeps the groove moving and creating an upbeat feel. The result is a pulsating dance floor music that also carries an emotional depth and resonance.
