Elderbrook is the stage name for singer, songwriter and producer Alexander Kotz who produces dance oriented electronic music in the house style. His music has a sentimental core with approachable melodies with instrumentation that is relatively sparse, and a tempo that is set mostly at the mid-range, such that even though it is built on club beats, his music does not overload or hit people over the head with its danciness (though he did take it up a notch on his 2024 album, Another Touch). His grooves can be subtle and understated and well-grounded while his melodies convey a sense of charm that is probably due to the way he started out as a folk oriented artist before he moved on to electronic dance.
