Rae Khalil

Rae Khalil's music is a cool and laid back combination of alternative R&B and a soul-tinged form of hip-hop with strong pop notes. As a vocalist, she sings with a smoky voice and in a mostly quiet, unassuming manner, occasionally sliding into a low-key rapping style that borders on speak-singing. There is a layer of melancholy in her songs that balances their relatively upbeat nature. She likes to try out different textures in her arrangements, which gives her songs a distinct stylistic signature and range.
