The Paranoyds is a four piece band that plays with the unpolished joy of classic garage rock, though they do so with clear and sharp articulation. Their songs come packed with catchy bits, and plenty of them, that do not overwhelm the overall sound. There is a hint of early post-punk in their music and an occasional glam feel. The guitars introduce just enough edgy touch, while the drums do a good job at propelling the songs forward. The band is very comfortable in the idioms of the garage style and maintain that tricky balance where they continue to be melodic while playing it big and loud without veering off into the world of anthemic rock.
