Manwolves

Manwolves are an Evanston, Illinois based band that plays charming, upbeat melodic pop that radiates a care-free sense of joy with a light-handed jazz and a gentle funk built into their music. Their sound is consistently warm and friendly, and their delivery is earnest. They also write some seriously catchy tunes and serve them with well-executed stylistic elements ranging from occasional break beats and jazzy instrumental passages to overt fusion type arrangements and Latin flavors, all constantly weaving in and out of their songs. At the end, they may initially come across as a fun group that creates fun songs for fun people, but it soon becomes clear that there is also quite a bit more going on in their music as they continue to pull on a variety of interesting threads that draw the listener further in.
