Måneskin is a band based in Rome, Italy that produces high-powered rock with strong pop appeal, a strong dance component, and a good number of power ballads. They rose to prominence in 2017 through a TV talent show in Italy, and blew up internationally when they won the 2021 Eurovision song contest. They are a tight ensemble that delivers energetic performances fronted by vocalist Damiano David, who is practically a fireball both on stage and in their recordings. They have a tendency to pivot between genres perhaps not as often as The 1975, but they are definitely up there. They do this with ease thanks to their ability to craft songs that are aligned very well with the style they are shooting for. Most of their songs are in Italian, but they occasionally sing in English.
