Måneskin is a band based in Rome, Italy that produces high-powered rock with strong pop appeal, a strong dance component, and a good number of power ballads. Their rise to prominence came through a TV talent show in Italy in 2017, followed by international recognition when they won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. They are a tight ensemble that delivers energetic performances fronted by vocalist Damiano David, who is practically a fireball both on stage and in their recordings. They have a tendency to pivot between genres, perhaps not as often as The 1975, but they have a tendency to pivot between genres, which they do with ease, thanks to their ability to craft songs that are aligned very well with the style they are shooting for.
