Lew Apollo

Singer-songwriter Lew Apollo is an Austin based soul artist whose work incorporates classical elements of the genre as well as the esthetics of contemporary pop. There is a nice bounce to his music, and a sense of lightness to his tunes. His hooks feel sturdy and well-placed. He projects plenty of warmth in his arrangements, with an emphasis on bright tones. His is a hopeful and uplifting kind of soul that adds extra buoyancy to its emotional base. He sings in a smooth voice over a misty layer, though it is easy to hear some bluesy rough edges to his vocal delivery initially, especially on his 2023 debut album, Jungle.
