Leah Senior is a Melbourne based singer-songwriter and folk artist whose solo acoustic songs are evocative of serene moments in a pastoral setting. Especially in her early albums, her overall sound suggests major early '70s influences by artists like Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins in terms of her vocal delivery and melodic cadence. She began to adopt a more folk rock type style on 2020's The Passing Scene, where she incorporated her full band more regularly in her production, including drums, bass, and electric guitar. Her music also began to develop a baroque pop flow that was not quite as noticeable before, with some pep in her step that is not unlike the sound of some of the '60s British folk bands. She still maintains her hushed and gentle tones, but there is now more playfulness in her songs as well.
