LA LOM

Los Angeles League of Musicians, aka LA LOM, is a trio musician based in Los Angeles, as the name suggests. They take their inspiration from the city's musical heritage to create a potent mixture of highly entertaining, chill music that infuses surf rock elements into various Latin styles, primarily cumbia. They are an instrumental band that started out as a hotel lobby gig, which is more or less the blueprint of their work. Their sound is easy-going and pleasant in a way that can just as easily be backgrounded as it can be embraced as dance music. They play original compositions that happen to be very effective in tapping into the classic motifs from the '50s and '60s.
