Kedr Livanskiy

Kedr Livanskiy (Кедр Ливанский, which is "Lebanese Cedar" in English) is producer, singer-songwriter Yana Kedrina (Яна Кедрина), who has been creating electronic dance music that covers the range between house, techno, and trance, often incorporating some hip-hop or drum 'n' bass style breakbeat. Her music is built with a clear pop mindset that guides her somewhat subdued but strong melodies. It typically reflects a dark and melancholic mood even when it has a four on the floor dance beat going on at the same time. There are some gray skies that hang over the music. Balancing all the gloomy outlook is her bold and slightly misty singing voice that is actually quite a good match for the kind of pop she creates.
