The Infamous Stringdusters

The Infamous Stringdusters are a bluegrass combo that has been active since the late '00s. They have made a name for themselves through their combined strength in songwriting and musicianship, as well as their propensity to cut loose in live performances, which has earned them a spot on the JamGrass pantheon. Their music generally tends to be lively, as one would expect, although they do veer slightly in the direction of country and folk, and country rock in some rare cases. In that sense, their repertoire is more varied than what the "bluegrass band" label would suggest. Members split singing duties and also harmonize with the same tight ensemble way they play as instrumentalists. Their "pandemic album", 2022's Toward the Fray, catches the band step outside their usual space and take on social issues as the subject matter of their music.
