Ashnikko

Ashnikko is the stage name for singer, rapper Ashton Casey has an international flair: she was born in North Carolina, spent some years in Estonia and Latvia, and is currently based in London. There are some hyperpop threads that continue to weave through her music, along with some trap flavors. The overriding feature of her songs, though, is their extremely catchy nature and her confidently outsized presentation. She usually floats between singing and rapping, frequently employing the autotune effect that melds into the layers of electronic instrumentation. Her beats are drawn from a variety of sources including trap, hip-hop, rock, and occasionally industrial, with elements of EDM mixed in. Her arrangements have become more polished and high end over time and less sparse.
