Heavy Lungs

Heavy Lungs (aka HL) are a raucous, wild, loud noise rock band from Bristol, UK that wears its heart on its sleeve and does not really hold much back. There are some punk aspects to their music, specifically in terms of vocalist Danny Nedelko's delivery. Otherwise, they sometimes sound like they are straddling the line with metal in terms of their riffs. The band's self-proclaimed METZ influences are not that hard to detect. Nedelko is pretty much a fireball on overdrive and his bandmates match him every step of the way with their fiery attack on the guitar as well as the massive rhythm section with their pounding beats and grooves. There are some similarities between them and their compadres, IDLES, both in terms of pairing their aggressive music with optimistic and uplifting lyrics, and playing like a band whose hair is on fire.
