Gen and the Degenerates

Gen and the Degenerates play indie rock with '90s style alt-rock tendencies and an affinity towards the classic punk rock sound. They are led by vocalist Gen Glynn-Reeves who has an explosive presence and a blues-based rock voice that sits comfortably at a low register until it is turned up a couple of notches when they go anthemic occasionally. The guitar, the drums, and the rest of the whole band also join in the romp. They are a tight unit that can maintain clarity in the instrumentation and distinctness in their songs even with the volume cranked up. Their songs have a strong melodic core that gives their power a sweeter edge.
