Floating Witch's Head

Floating Witch's Head is a band that plays psychedelic rock with a heavy edge and a pronounced garage rock quality that comes across like a loving throwback to the '70s ear with their guitar-ridden, riff-dominated style loaded with plenty of classic distortion effects. Guitarist Travis Ward creates the rough surfaces that set the tone for the band and elevates their sense of urgency. Eric Gilbert's keyboards, on the other hand, add a blues oriented organ sound that evokes classic psychedelia. There is a bare-bones honesty to diffused throughout their work, with some country rock and alt-rock influences also working their way into their songs.
