Dream Wife

Dream Wife is a band that combines punchiness of pop punk with catchy indie pop type melodies to produce a highly energetic indie rock. Their first album was deep into garage rock with bits and pieces of pop sprinkled across songs to sweeten the presentation. Their second album goes more openly into the pop mode, putting together whole songs that fit that profile, with clear hooks that go deep, which are balanced by the same brash sound they started out with. Guitarist Alice Go amps it up as needed and fills the space with her jagged riffs, while Bella Podpadec grounds the beat with Alex Paveley, the unofficial fourth, on the drums. Singer Rakel Mjöll can instantly shift gears going from her innocent, playful voice to a full on vocal attack.
