Dream, Ivory

Dream, Ivory is the Baello brothers, Christian and Louie, who for a long time, played a kind of pop rock that had a synth pop vibes and hyperpop energy. They had various '00s pop threads running through their music between the swirly, shimmery quality in the guitars, synths that evoke dance pop, and the brightness of the overall production. That changed on 2025's When You Come Back..., which sees them get back to where they started with their  first pair of EPs, and move in the direction of shoegaze heavier emphasis on chiming guitars that are occasionally reminiscent of the mid '90s period The Cure, moving similarly in a more mournful style. Vocals are handled by Louie Baello, whose hazy voice often gets blended into the mist in the production.
