Divino Niño
Outline
Divino Niño is a Chicago based indie pop band whose music has been moving through a stylistic smorgasbord that started with '50s retro pop sound with every "oooooh" 'and "lalala" that goes with it, then started exploring a "dream pop meets psychedelic pop" approach for a while, before moving on to a Latin infused contemporary pop with reggaeton flavors. All through these changes, the band maintained its basic profile as a fun band that produces low-key, care-free, bouncy songs. The two leads of the band, guitarist Camilo Medina and bassist Javier Forero grew up in Bogotá, and some of those roots are certainly a part of their music. They sing both in English and Spanish. Their melodies are light and breezy, with a gentle uplift.
All you need is a long chair and an umberalla at the beach.
