Debby Friday

Debby Friday, aka Deborah Micho, is a singer-songwriter and an experimental pop and rock musician whose work brings together industrial music, club music, and goth flavored post-punk. She embodies the contemporary ethos of staying blissfully oblivious to the concept of genres, as she pieces these elements together, mixing and matching features of one with the other. Her music is bold and spiky, dark in tone, confident, captivating, and with an experimental feel. That said, she also clearly keeps pop in her line of sight. She sings in a sultry style that pulls the listener in without smothering her songs as she shifts between noise and mechanical clang on one side, and upbeat dance grooves on the other, with smooth back and forth transitions in between.
