Clinic is an indie band that has been producing music and putting out albums since the '00 with an idiosyncratic sound that combines elements of garage, psychedelic, and krautrock. Their style comes across as part Velvet Underground and part the early days of Can. And their current sound is not too far removed from that, except for being more streamlined, more polished, and more focused both rhythmically and melodically. The band is economic in their their arrangements, subdued in their delivery, and comfortable with repetitious lines, in a distinctly post-punk way. Their songs are narrowly trimmed at around 2 minute range, with no fat on them. They have been performing their live shows with surgical mask on their faces long before the pandemic of '19 made that a thing for the rest of us. Two of their founding members, Brian Campbell (bass) and Carl Turney (drums) left in 2019.
