Christine and the Queens

The pop artist Christine and the Queens is originally Héloïse Letissier, a singer-songwriter with a fluid identity and shifting personas (such as Chris and Redcar) who also happens to capture the form and flow of pop as defined in the '80s. There is a discernible Madonna influence in his music that comes close to the surface with some frequency. Other pop artists from the same period as well as new wave and synth pop motifs also tends to make their presence felt, including occasional glimpses in the direction of Michael Jackson and Prince, among others. All that mixture molds into a distinctive sound in Letissier's hands and in the context of his character shifts and world building, he has quickly established himself as an artist as a major voice in contemporary pop music.
